wood fired sauna “yama”

(There is an open-air bath with free-flowing hot-spring water)
The sauna area, where swimsuits are required, has a men’s and women’s shared sauna and a women’s only sauna.
Both are hand-cut log houses made of Japanese cedar with excellent heat storage and insulation performance.
The heat source of the sauna stove is “new” and you can experience the soft heat that only new can provide.
Moreover, the water in the small pool (water bath) is spring water,
the same drinking water highly praised by the late Ken Kaiko.
The spring water is poured into the bath at a temperature of 14 degrees throughout the year.
In the sauna area, there is an open-air bath with a spectacular view of Echigo-Komagata and Nakagatake,
one of Japan’s 100 most famous mountains.
The lukewarm spring water drawn from Ginzan-daira Onsen is poured over the baths.
The temperature of the bathtub is 33-37 degrees in spring and fall, and 38-39 degrees in summer,
but it is the best temperature range for an open-air bath after a sauna.
Floating in the open-air bath in the insensitive zone is a magical experience,
as if you are ascending to heaven.
